On The Hour Series One & Two
Fist Of Fun Series One & Two
1991's seminal news spoof show, anchored by Chris Morris & featuring the talents of Steve Coogan, Rebecca Front, Peter Baynham, Armando Iannucci and more.
The follow up series, broadcast initially in 1992, featured more input from Lee & Herring & provided the imputes for the the show's transfer to television as "The Day Today" in 1994
Lee & Herring's first foray into television proved to be an unbridled success. They took the format of the previous year's Fist Of Fun radio show and transferred it to the small screen.
Critics lapped it up & hailed the duo as the new god-kings of student comedy. The BBC quite liked it, but seemed to largely ignore it. Strange, as they commissioned it in the first place.
Still, you can read all about it here.
Lionel Nimrod's Inexplicable World Series One & Two
Live From The Cochrane Video
Enlisting the talents of Tom Baker (as Lionel Nimrod) and Armando Iannucci & Rebecca Front, Lee & Herring launched their double act onto British radio.

Under the format of a "fact-finding" show that would explain the inexplicable, the groundings of the Fist Of Fun era double act were created in style.
The only Fist Of Fun related video release was this live recording of a show from the Fist Of Fun tour. Recorded on September 3rd 1995 at "The Cochrane Theatre" and released in time for the Christmas rush of the same year. Screen grabs& synopsis available here.
Lee & Herring's Fist Of Fun
This Morning With Richard Not Judy Series 1 & 2
The celebrated 1994 Radio One Show that launched Lee & Herring's career into the mainstream.
"Fist Of Fun" would spawn two TV series, a book, tour & CD release. Oh, this site is named after it too....
In this six part series, you can hear such delights as Professor Don King's assessment of Jamiroquai's suggested tax system, Geoffrey from Rainbow tells us the secrets of the UK's first fly-on-the-wall documentary, and Dale Winton cures Rich of "The Curse Of Supermarket Sweep".

Rich & Stew's return to TV didn't come as a third series of Fist Of Fun. Instead, it took the shape of this Live Sunday Lunchtime outing, the format of which was loosely based on an Edinburgh Festival show that had evolved over preceding years.
Old characters returned, and new ones were introduced, but all were interlinked with trademark L&H banter.

The two series were broadcast over 1998 & 1999 respectively.

Lee & Herring's Radio One Music Show
Lee & Herring's Reasonably Scary Monsters
No one would believe it now, but Radio One used to be quite good. In 1994 Chris Morris was given a six month residency, Armando Iannucci was given his own show, and Lee & Herring launched the first of what would become three series of informal chat & larking about.

During their tenure of the airwaves (which would run into 1995), Lee & Herring embarked upon a search to find the nation's favourite chew bar , conducted an anti-drug campaign, launched an illegal lottery, tried to con ice cream companies out of their products & much much more....
A one off show for BBC2's "Monster Night" which saw Rich & Stew watching & commentating on "The World's Nine Scariest Monsters, With Carol Vorderman."
A Synopsis of the show can be found here...
Festival Of Fun
Rich & Stew presented this Channel Five coverage of the Montreal Comedy Festival in 1997.
