FIST
OF FUN SERIES ONE, SHOW SIX - BROADCAST 16th May 1995 |
| After
pop teenagers Ant & Dec burst from Rich & Stew's crates &
are chased off set by BBC workmen, Lee & Herring reclaim their show
for the last episode in the series. This means, as Rich takes delight in telling us, that they've been allowed to bring in games. Rich has brought in a "The Sweeney" game and the playing cards that his french exchange partner got him. Stew, on the other hand, has brought in five dolls that represent all the people that have lied to him or about him in the entertainment industry throughout the last five years. And some skewers. |
|
The next sketch up is pillaged from Rich & Stew's work on Lionel Nimrod's Inexplicable World and features the warring factions of Cubs & Scouts. The goodness of the polite young cubs is countered by the sheer vileness of the Scouts, the chopper riding, fag smoking, woodpecker cider drinking, bumfluff covered scourge of the Cubs. Thus keeping balance in the cosmos. Returning
to the Studio, Rich mentions how being on the telly has been great
at helping him get back in touch with long-lost friends, and after
a brief mention of Mike "Devon" Cosgrave (actually a former
"Seven Raymond"), Rich & Stew welcome to the Studio
"The Girl Who Smelt Of Spam" from his school. |
Simon Quinlank's back again - this time smashing eggs for a hobby. Not just common eggs, you could even smash a gold faberge egg if you want, or frozen human eggs. Simon Quinlank clearly does not like eggs. As the hobby obsessed loon finishes his segment, Rich is seen removing the pictures of Julia Sawalha from his shrine. He realises he has no chance with her & has decided to move on. Stew is proud that Rich has finally grown up. |

The
series' final visit to the Gall-ery features the Andrex puppy in a
microwave, a leaflet for "Brian Conley's favourite pizza shop".
Twenty-two identical signed pictures of BBC Radio Cambridge DJ Christopher
South - the results of a plea on the radio for listeners to help them
get the largest collection of Signed Christopher South photographs
in existence. A molecule chart with the elements that begin with "C"
replaced with the heads of celebrities who's names also begin with
"C". There's also some athlete's foot powder mixed with
talcum powder. It stinks. |
| Rich rounds things off by explaining that over the last six weeks they've been trying to find ways of filling up time. In order to prove Einstein's theory of relativity (that time goes really slowly when you spend it with your relatives, and don't the minutes just fly by when you're having fun.) Rich goes to the annual Herring family gathering, while Stew heads off to try & have the best time humanly possible, starting off at a funfair & moving on to a fetish dungeon, while drinking vast amounts & taking drugs. This sketch is also culled from Lionel Nimrod's Inexplicable World, and through it they determine that Einstein's theory is completely correct. |
|
They are interrupted by Ant & Dec running through the Studio to get away from the BBC workmen. Rich guides them into his shrine & locks them in, laughing like a madman before he & Stew climb back into their crates for storage until the next series. The smashing of the set by BBC workmen close things off & Peter is sent off to fend for himself. He seems to do quite well in fact, and finds himself in the back of a car with two beautiful women. |
